Pepsi Deal at Martins

Hey all,

I just got an awesome Pepsi deal at Martin's that I want to share with everyone.
This week, Martins is having their own stock up sale.  If you match it with the Pepsi coupons we got last week, you can get 6 packs of 16.9 oz. Pepsi products for 22 or 23 cents per bottle (scenarios below).  Personally, I have a soda machine at work that is 30 cents per can, so I figure any time soda is cheaper than it would cost me at work, it's worth stocking up on.

Pepsi six-packs of bottles are on sale for 5/$11.00 ($2.20 each).  You must buy 5 to get this deal, and every six-pack after that is $2.99.
You can also use the $2/2 coupon that came in last week's newspapers.

If you buy 5 and use 2 coupons:
5/$11.00 - $2/2 - $2/2 = $7.00 for 5 packs, or 30 bottles of Pepsi products, or 23 cents per bottle.

If you buy 6 and use 3 coupons:
5/$11.00 + $2.99 - $2/2 - $2/2 - $2/2 = $7.99 for 6 packs, or 36 bottles, or 22 cents per bottle.

Happy Couponing!

This bountiful assortment includes lip balm, lip shimmer, lotion, soap and more. Contents will vary. All items are sold as is and some may have slight packaging/label related scratches."

Free Kitty Litter!

So I am actually allergic to cats myself, but I know many people around me have cats.  I used to have one myself until my allergies progressed.

There are two great Kitty Litter deals out there right now for free litter.  Of course they're mail-in rebates, which means you have to buy it without a coupon first and then submit for money back, but hey, if you're willing to do that it makes them free!  And kitty litter is something you're going to have to buy anyway, right?

The first one is from Arm and Hammer.  I'll tell you right now, when I did have a cat, Arm and Hammer was my favorite litter to buy.  It was one that didn't bother my allergies as much as others, and the deodorizing factor really worked!
How do you get the Arm and Hammer rebate?  Go out and buy a 20 lb. box of Arm and Hammer clumping kitty litter (up to $8.99), then come home and print, fill out, and mail the rebate form.  This rebate is good on purchases from 12/15/11 to 3/30/12, and you have to postmark it before 4/15/12.

The second rebate is for Feline Pine.  Same concept.  Go out to the store and buy a 9 lb. or 14 lb. container of Feline Pine litter (up to $14.99).  Then come home, print, fill out, and mail the rebate form.  This rebate is good on purchases from 12/15/11 to 3/31/12, and must be postmarked by 4/15/12.

I know that having pets can get expensive.  Hopefully this can help to lighten some of those expenses.
Happy Couponing.

Free Coke Zero!!

Hey Guys,
Coke Zero is putting out a coupon for $0.99 off of a Coke Zero with no size restrictions.  I know a lot of the couponing sites out there are listing it saying that you can buy a 20 oz. with that, but a lot of the stores around here mark their 20 oz. beverages at about $1.50.  I noticed, however, while at Weis the other night that 1 liter Coke Zero is in their "seasonal" section listed at $0.99, which would make it free.  Or you can print it and wait for a Coke sale and get a 2 liter for free instead.
All you have to do is go to Coke Zero's Facebook Page and "like" them.  Then go to their "Trial" page and you'll find the coupon.  I was able to print two before getting a message that I had printed the max number of copies.
Good luck and happy couponing. :-)

The Start of a New Beginning

Hi All!

Welcome to Maryland Couponing Chronicles!

This is a couponing blog designed to help the average couponer find some awesome deals.
I'm Sam, a couponer from Hagerstown, Maryland.  I am not an extreme couponer by any means.  Couponing is a fun pastime for me that also happens to save my husband and I some money.  My goal in this blog is to create a resource for those who want to coupon but don't know where to start and can't find resources that match with local stores.  I want to not only introduce you to some of the resources that I follow, but also help to consolidate some of the better deals in one location.

This blog is going to be made up of not only my findings, but hopefully the findings of others.  We will have some guest bloggers, a few who will be regulars, and some who will post occasionally.  If you have an idea or a post you'd like to make, leave me a comment and let me know!
I also would like to always have input from followers.  If you ever find a way to make the deals I find better or anything that would be of interest to other local couponers, that's what the comments are for!  Also, if there's ever a topic you would like me to dig more into and feature on here, I would be more than happy to!  This is a blog not just for me but for you as well!  Tell me what you want to know more about.

Why am I making a couponing blog when there are already a TON of them out there?  I feel like there is a lot of repetitive information and misinformation out there, but at the same time there's not a lot out there for those of us in Maryland, particularly where I am in Western Maryland.  The coupon matchups that I'm finding don't often match stores I shop at, or the ads or coupons are different from what I've gotten.  I love following the couponing blogs that area already out there, and I find myself sharing quite a few deals with those around me, whether by phone, email, or Facebook.  This is a place where I can share my finds in one location for others to see them all in one dedicated outlet.

I consider myself a hobby couponer.  I don't save every coupon (but have nothing against those who do) and don't want to lose a full room in my house to my stockpile.  I would like to create a stockpile that my family will use and save money on my weekly grocery shopping trips.  If I get enough followers on here that can meet locally, I would love to set up some kind of coupon swap too.

So that's it!  Welcome to my blog.  Keep checking back, there are plenty more posts to come.

-Sam
